Itunes is rubbish software - is that enough reason?

But why do you have "Real Player", it's out of the ark, I didn't even know it existsed anymore. Is the rest of your system equally ancient?

So you're not using an ancient computer. I'll ask the same question - why are you running Real Player? It's a genuine question. If you don't use it, uninstall it.
Also, can you describe how iTunes crashes, and tell us what version it is. If you can't get in to find out, I suggest uninstalling, and reinstalling it. This will leave your iTunes library intact.

And if all else fails - back up all your files/data/photos/music/videos etc. and do a wipe and reinstall of Windows. (There's probably a recovery partition on the laptop that you can access via F8 or similar when booting up).

THEN just reinstall the applications that you need ... Realplayer is unlikely to be a required application.

  • You don't say which version of Windows you are using on your decent young laptop (i.e. 64bit or 32bit) nor which versions of your preferred software is. Help your self by answering those and have a look in Control Panel , Administration Tools, Event Viewer and look for the errors in there.

You don't run a helpline that offers to remote into people's computers to "fix" issues, do you? ;) :rotfl:

    Take a chill-pill mate. :) I didn't detect ANY sarcasm in DCM's post.

I know this may be frustrating for you, but we only want to help. :)
