So there is no way this can go down on my credit record or get a ccj over this is there?

Just dont want it to have long term effects

There is no Court, no CCJ, no bailiff, no debt, no effect on your credit rating - no repercussions at all!

We have all ignored a fake PCN or several on this board. It's only like deleting phishing emails claiming your Bank needs you to re-confirm your PIN number. It's a similar sort of 'impersonation of authority' con - but played out by post.

I have ignored two fake PCNs and wouild happily collect more - in fact last week I deliberately tried to get a Parking Eye one by driving in and out of a store twice. Time will tell if I succeeded, I want one of those because I WANT to take PE through the POPLA appeals process to cost them money!! And I am just an ordinary wife and Mum (with a responsible job and an enhanced CRB check, so does my OH) and I wouldn't risk our credit ratings any more than you would.

I carry the fake debt collector letters around in my handbag to show other people about this scam. Just play 'snap' with the letters once you've hooked them to your address. And show the other drivers this information, discuss the scam so you all get it and know it's NOT a fine at all.

This link is a good one too from a barrister exaplaining that it's all a con:

See the answer at the bottom? ''This is a private land fine. They are unenforceable.''

    :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
