3am OH brought the horace up to bed.. and she was in with me until 6:30.. I may as well not bothered going!

Having a fling in the girls room over the weekend.. I am clearly my stuff out over the weekend and am considering getting 3 bins and every day they have to pick up and put their own stuff in the bins.. anything left out gets through out.. that isn't harsh at 8, 10 and 12 is it?

Pigpen I have 5 plastic tubs in my utility room with the initials of my brood on them. I chuck non ironworthy clothes in them (socks, undies, pj's) and all the other gibble they leave around the house. I put away the tubs of the two youngest but the older kids do their own. If the box gets to overflowing I take it to their room and tip it on the bed. It's not perfect but it helps to keep the clutter down. It annoys me when they 'cherry pick' items out of the tubs, typically pairs of socks.

I'm livid with DS2. I mucked out his room on Tuesday and now it looks exactly what it looked like before the mucking out. I've told him he can give me his paper round money for wasting my time or be grounded for all of half term.

Main bathroom door catch is broken. DS3 got locked in for 15 minutes. Not fun on a school morning!

I think it's a great idea, and will bear it in mind for when mine are older. They are quite good at the moment.mthis morning we have:

Not gone to playgroup, his cough sounds a bit yuk although he's well in himself. And DD is streaming from the nosy.
Made all the beds, me and DD dusted (well, she followed me around flapping) and DS did the carpet sweeper :A
Made bran muffins and a quick Spanish omelette whilst oven was on.
Swept the top patio whilst cooking on, bless them, they both helped collect all the fallen leaves and it's tidy again.

No doubt there will be more leaves by Monday, but that's ok. It's chilly out but not as cold as we were led to believe. We're playing in the conservatory now (well I'm drinking tea) and I've put the convector heater on and shut the door to living room.

Need to decide what's for dinner...

Our catch is broken in the downstairs toilet (the one the childminding kids use!) DD2 got stuck in there at the weekend :( I have bought a new lock, but we can't get the old one off!! That is a job for DH at the weekend.
Also, a bit of DD2's ceiling fell down last night (only a little bit :o) I need to get someone in to sort that next week. DH keeps [STRIKE]threatening[/STRIKE] offering to do it

DH went off to Scotland for the day at 5 this morning (he is flying). He has phoned to say that he lost his wallet while waiting for a colleague at Edinburgh airport :( He is due back at about 9.30 tonight.

This morning I have taken the dog out in the rain before Bubba arrived, put on the DW & TD and checked bank accounts & emails. Bubba is asleep at the moment :j I was going to go to town this morning, but it is so miserable today that I have decided to go when I finish work at 4. At least I won't have to faff about with buggies & car seats later :)

Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them. i am off to see if i can do something useful :)

Morning Mr Met Officer. Next time you say Sun all day and I believe you, and go to the laundrette and wash 4 fevver pillows and 2 duvets that now need airing, could you remind me that you actually meant rain? Thank you.

Regarding Christmas cards and wrapping paper, I finally remembered this year that I've had a batch on hold in the attic for three years, so I'm ahead there, they're already in the Christmas file all ready to be written. Sadly though, in the great office tidy up I hid a book I'd bought on amaz0n in September and now I can't find it ... wanders off to turf office upside down ....
    Better is good enough.
  • Hello all

    Mini rant alert...

Feeling poorly as I've spent the best part of the last 2 evenings and nights coughing so much I've been sick. My throat is so sore. Feel even more sick as my boss is mightily annoyed I didn't answer my phones last night after I told her I wasn't well enough to come in again today, she said she would cover for me today as I was still being sick/retching and had all but lost my voice; but she kept calling me for the rest of the evening then texted to say why was I ignoring her! Erm... because I either have my head in a bucket or I'm trying to lie quietly.

She then phoned just after 6.30 this morning to say she was on her way in and I should stay in bed, but that she hadn't had a day off this week and I owed her one. Well yes, we'd sorted that out by text last night, was it really necessary to phone me so early when she knew I was ill and would be sleeping?? Now I'm worried cos I'm still in my probation period but can't talk to her as my voice hardly there and I feel even more sick thinking there will be an argument!! aaaaaargh how should I handle this?

End of mini rant... and breathe...

    Hey all,

Crappy time here still at S..t towers, but I dont care anymore! :)

Been for food shopping, DS at school, xmas shopping started, bought new SC (£18.99 for 6.5l!) and may still come in under budget despite taking the money from my GC Budget for my fridge freezer ... :D:D So I have lots of reasons to be cheerful :)

Anyway... must do some cleaning, then I want to get started on my essay again that I started to compile yesterday! I dont want to lose momentum, so am promising 30 mins per day... (did 3 hours yest :D )

Then I want to build the bookcase in the study which is still in boxes in the hall!

One step at a time, I WILL get there! Am not going to let it all get on top of me and the black dog can just ..... well, he can Go Away :D

    HHC anyone...?
