Dear All
I am aware that since recently ebay sniper Goofbay has been changed to Goofbid. But after the changing it seems that the sniper does not work properly.
I have lost two auctions due to this. I have set up maximum price. In the last two occasion it is apparently I lost two items in which my maximum set up price is still higher than the winning price ?
Do you have the same problem or any solution how to fix it ??
Thank you for your time .....

Gutted as one of the items didn't receive ANY other bids! And the other went for £22 when I put in max £31.
I've used it loads and it has always been super reliable, so I was really surprised.
Tim, I'm going to PM you the item numbers as per your message below. Thanks.0 -
Thanks. I just open it. It seems that we need to give up our eBay password user name and just for two days ???? I will still want to see other people opinion
Snipers can't place their bids without those pieces of information - so without it it won't work.
I have used snipe sites in the past and haven't had any problems with giving out my details. The sites are reasonably secure and if there were any problems with hacking there would warnings not to use that site."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

I used goofbid for the first time today at just after 1pm. The snipe was placed successfully and I won:j0

I use goofbay frequently i've had no problems with the sniper recently since the weird name change I won 5 items with it yesterday.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

I have won some items since the name change from Goofbay to Goofbid. However I have lost out on others including one item that remained unsold despite me having put in a snipe for much more than the 99p start price.
Also I am getting a message saying
Warning: You have selected a lead time below 5 seconds - THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED!
What does this mean and why after using Goofbay successfully for many years is it not working.
Is this another company who take a perfectly good system and decide to improve so it no longer works.
Can I recommend the saying to companies who are tempted to improve their systems "If it ain't broke don't fixit"0 -
The only glitch I have is sometimes it tells me I lost whereas when I log into my eBay account I actually won.0

Hi,
Like the original poster, goofbid replied to my query, and it turned out I'd changed my eBay password but forgotten to update goofbid.
So, due to my error, goofbid couldn't log in to bid on my behalf...
All sorted now, thanks for the quick response.0 -
I tried to use it today but everytime I put in the item number it kept saying the auction had ended, so ended up missing outS.P.C member 1662 - target £3000
