Wicked, so by the 10th of November i'll have £10:)
All you need to do now is get your hubby to open another account, transfer some dummy DDs over, grab the £100 bonus, and then get £15/month from then on0 -
We tried to get an account for him before and for some reason he got refused, even though we already had the joint account so he threw a wobbly and said forget it. I'm more the MS one in our house, he's not so bothered.0

can someone help? we want to switch our joint account for the reward, but OH has an account with Halifax. I'm presuming we will be eligible for it?0

Your best chance of success though, would be to ensure you are the first named on the account. However, like I say, best to ask Halifax. Then, at least if you get the answer you want to hear, you'll have some 'comeback' should they renege later.0 -
I had an account with Halifax and closed it around 5 years ago because i went to Santander who,at the time, were offering the £100 switch. I have applied for this one but it occured to me that because i have been a Halifax customer in the past, would i qualify? Anyone know if i would?0

I spoke to someone from Halifax on the phone yesterday and she said the interpretation of 'new customer' was simply 'does not currently hold a current account'.0

Last time you were able to switch a joint account and get the hundred quid even if you both had sole name accounts. Missed out as wife was overseas, went with FD instead with the same result. So is this not allowed this time around?0

Hi, I would like to switch to the Halifax from my CO-OP a/c. I have one standing order going in, that covers two direct debits and one standing order going out.
Would I qualify for the bonus please?
Thanks0 -
Has anyone in Scotland switched to this account? Heard conflicting reports about whether we're allowed it... One branch said we could open it online then do business in branch. Which is fine by me, hopefully it will all be online, unless something goes wrong.. Someone in another branch said its only halifax branches (not Bank of Scotland) so we would have to go to england to find one..
Confused.
