Hi
apologies if this has been asked already, I can't use the search function on my phone.
As the title says, I was wondering what people put in their xmas stockings? I have 2 children, boys aged 3 and 8 and am looking for ideas.
Plus I am being slighlty nosey

My 9yo girl (I'll keep it generic but use a child closest in age to one of yours) is likely to get choc coins in the toe - just a comment but I'm seeing loads of sterling choc coins this year rather than euros - sign of the times?
bubble bath in a fragrance or novelty shape that she likes.
small teddy bear - she loves cuddly toys and this is a littlest pet shop one I found reduced.
Haven't got anything else yet.
I do think boys get more difficult to buy for when they get to around the age your eldest is. My son is nearly a teenager and I've also got a stocking thread on here! Have a look to see if there is anything you can use/adapt for yours.
Forgot to say, my 9yo is also very into Moshi Monsters, so a blind bag of them, or possibly a special xmas one if I'm prepared to spend a fortune on ebay! They also do little draw-string bags to keep them in. At 8/9 my son was into plastic figures, his was crazy bones. Is there a similar trend your son is into? I also have a moshi monster pencil case that has sweets in it to put in.
If I can I also find a personalised item to put in. This year for my daughter I saw a christmas bauble that's a money box I'll put in. Mine don't have widely found names though that is changing for my daughter and son is now beyond me doing it.
I am now beyond the toddler years, so can't give you any ideas, other than to ask if there's a tv show he lies that you can buy related items for?0 -
My DS who will be three this year is getting a playdoh party pack (10 small tubs in a tube - about £3 from ELC) and playdoh tool thingy (also from ELC), some christmas punchball balloons (found in the Christmas card box from last year), bubbles, some novelty sweets picked up in HB, some chocolate and probably a couple of other bits of little £ toys.0

My DD is 3 and for her stocking I have (or will be buying)
- Dora the explora bubble bath (from home bargains)
- Tinkerbell cutlery and straw cup (from HB again)
- Toy story colouring book and crayons (from HB)
-Mickey Mouse DVD and Dora DVD
- Chocolate coins
- Small duck bath toy (she loves ducks :rotfl:)
- Princess hair brush and clips
- New book
for a boy (or girl) you could put in
- Book
- Crafty stuff
- bath stuff
- dvds/cds0 -
Mine both liked story CDs for bedtime at those ages - we don't have TV in their rooms and they listen to a story after I've left the room. I do read them proper books too

The book people etc. usually have sets of information books like 'why do snakes shed their skin' etc. that will fit into a stocking.
Coloured handlebars or something else for the BMX.
One of those Green's lazy 'make some cakes' boxes
Top trumps cards. 7 year old is getting a starter pack for a trading cards game. I'll also get him a tin with booster packs to keep it all in.52% tight0 -
Moosmummy - I got DS some Christmas ducks from ebay - they were about £2 inc postage. They came from Hong Kong - but came quickly with no problems.0

There will be free lego with one of the papers again soon, maybe starting at the weekend? I'll have a hunt for the MSE thread.
