hi, my partner and I were originally claiming as a couple on benefits, i was on incapacity benefit and he was on job seekers allowance he found a job and is now on minimum wage. they say im not entitled to any benefits, so we have to get by on our own with our 10yr old daughter, im not in a position to go back to work at…

If you are getting contribution-based Incapacity Benefit, then that is not affected by whatever your partner is doing (just on the DWP accepting you are too sick to work).

If you were getting Income Support, because of your sickness, then that is based on what you need to live on, after any benefit/wage has been taken into account..

If you are still confused, then the CAB will help you.
