in Techie Stuff
I seem to be having a bit of a problem with Google lately. I enter a search into the tool bar (or an open Google page) and it takes ages to open a new tab. When it does eventually open, it takes ages to load the page. Then message come up saying the Google has not responded. Often it will crash Explorer as well. I have run malware and anti-virus scans and they have not come up with anything. I have been using the toolbar without issues for a few years now.
I run Internet Explorer 9 and Windows Vista and I have uninstalled and re-installed Google toolbar and have deleted all cookies (as far as I can know), but with no joy.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
I will add though, as many on here will testify, when it comes to the techie stuff, I am as thick as two short circuits (LOL, see what I did there
)
So, be kind when I ask you to explain things (maybe even more than once. :rotfl:)

The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

I am not a techie, but this seems to work for me.
We had a power cut last week, so it was disconnected for a few hours....it didn't help.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

no you said you uninstalled it and re-installed it, suggesting you are still using it. Turn the thing off and eliminate this as the source of the problem.
But that would defeat the object, I want to use the toolbar.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

But what if it is the problem? I've had toolbars that crashed my internet in the past, I've had to disabled them or use a different browser. Simply trying to help
And I appreciate all the help I can get.
The problem wouldn't exist at all, if I didn't use the toolbar; ergo, when I use the toolbar, which I want to keep using, it keeps crashing Google. I had been using the toolbar for years, without any issues, until a few weeks ago.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
