I did not know where to post this so here it goes..
Anyway I went to sports direct today and in the changing rooms there was a sign saying hidden cameras operate in the changing room, can they do this?
Are you actually allowed to have hidden cameras in changing room..?

Perfectly legal provided that you have been made aware of the cameras.CCTV should only be used in exceptional circumstances in areas where you normally expect privacy - such as in changing rooms or toilets, and should only be used to deal with very serious concerns. The operator should make extra effort to ensure that you are aware that cameras are in use.
There is no definition of what exceptional circumstances actually are, but maybe there have been lots of thefts or assaults happening there.0 -
Then report it to the police as this would,I assume,to be an invasion of privacy.0

Don't use the changing rooms if you do not like it.0

It is entirely your choice, they are not making a secret of it.0 -
Is the camera able to detect if a person can read or is partially blind.I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0
