I am abroad and my hard drive went - I got it replaced and I cannot put my finger on it but my Note book is just not right

I am receiving update after update from Windows and they take forever or get stuck on 0% for ages

Any help would be much appreciated

See how it is after all the updates are applied. There's nothing much wrong with the HJT log - although as ever, there are things you could stop from autoloading at startup.

uTorrent is always going to be a potential vector of infection.

Which files? Avast not being able to scan them doesn't necessarily mean that they are bad files. It may be a password protected archive for example.
