Buy Almat liquid in ALDI, £2.39 FOR 28 washes. Just as good as Fairy.0

At no point did I say it was Tescos fault but according to their website, they were offering 25 washes for £4 not 22 washes - so an update to their website is needed perhaps?
I received a box of quality street as a present and they were far from 'quality'
Mostly orange creams and toffee penny's. Lucky if there were 5 of everything else. The thing I miss the most though are the big tubs of maltesers. Saw them one year and I have never saw them again.
I did see something on watchdog the other night but thought that was just Ariel?0 -

There was something about tins of roses but on an older watchdog, maybe a month ago it was.0 -
perhaps in the thread title where they put
Tesco/Fairy?
No.
That is simply stating where it happened and what the product was.
On a side note, I wonder why money savers even buy branded washing powder (or washing up liquid and similar products). I always use Tesco own brand because it's just as effective.
It's also worth noting that unless your clothes are particularly dirty the amount of powder they tell you to use is significantly more than is needed. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

^^ This ^^
I can't understand why anyone buys the tablets or squishy liquid pouch things, you are being dictated to as to how much you must use per wash.
I buy the Surf liquid and get far more than the quoted 28 washes out of the bottle.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
I do the same, but I buy the supermarkets own 2 in 1 for about £2.20. On average I get a months to 6 weeks washing from a bottle and I wash 4 - 5 loads a weekI promise that I will do my best.....0

Either quantity goes down or price goes up, I'm guessing the manufacturer can't win either way.0

I think the point people are making is that if you put the price up, that's fair enough, it might be annoying but it's honest.
If, on the other hand you reduce the quantity but keep the packaging the same or almost the same (other than the quantity indicator, of course) then there is a suspicion that you are being less than 100% honest.
Whenever a pack size is increased you will inevitably see a big flash with something like: "NEW, BIGGER PACK" but I can pretty well guarantee that you'll never see an item flashed "NEW, SMALLER PACK".
No doubt the RWA will pile in with: "Is it so hard to check the pack size"
but along with checking the SEL to ensure it applies to the product it is underneath, and checking every item on your receipt to make sue you haven't been overcharged it does can shopping a bit of a trial. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
A company is not going to advertise the fact you are getting less than you were previously. Its not dishonest, its just commonsense that they would rather not draw a consumers attention to a negative aspect of buying that product. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
