Hi
I wish to buy a gift for my DS's girlfriend, she is 23, they've been together for about 8 months and I want to spend about £40
Any ideas? She likes baking. I was also thinking about perfume but no idea what she has/what I could get
Thanks

Maybe ask your son what his girlfriend would like? It's lovely to want to buy her a nice gift, but I would think he should have a good idea of what she might like.0

My boyfriends mum was in this position last year, she got me oven gloves and a cookbook. It's a really lovely book I've got good use out of.0

I think a nice brand make up or smellies set is always good. Benefit do some good make up sets or Nails Inc varnish set.
Or how about a sterling silver bangle. Hiho silver website have some lovely ones.
Baking wise you could try Lakeland for accessories.
Hope this helps and good luck!0 -

I was 22/23 when I got with my now husband. My mother in law got me some pyjamas from asda every year, and honestly they are my fave pressie, I look forward to them every year. She also gets me a couple of small pressies so I can have a stocking like the rest of them, it's just the feeling of involvement she'll appreciate. It's really nice and thoughtful that you're thinking of her. I'm sure whatever you get will be lovely.
If you want to know what perfume she wears just say very casually "oooh you smell nice - whats that?" Sneaky and effectiveRubbish at the grocery challenge!0 -
Why not make her up a wee hamper with lots of little bits and pieces, you'd be almost guaranteed to put something in there she likes?
* The perfumes from Next are very very good and come in at £8 and £12 (the new Milan, Paris ones etc)
* Scented candles
* Hot chocolate sachets
* Little baking decorating kits/cupcake recipe book? Someone in my work had an 'alcoholic' cupcake book - i.e Margharita cupcake.
* Little bottle of drink to tie in with above?
* Little bits of skincare/showergel from Body Shop etc? Facemask etc
* A book/DVD/CD/iTunes voucher
* Nail varnish/manicure set
* Bars of chocolate/sweets
My bf's mum did this for me last year and it was really fantastic, I'm doing them for her and my mum this year

Sorry but if I had been going out with a guy for 8 months and his mother bought me jammies I'd be mortified!
