Well i haven't chosen prepacked hampers - i have chosen the products i wanted in the 2 hampers i am getting next week, so they will put in what i have asked them for.0

Not everything that is too good to be true is, if it was the grabbits wouldn't exist.
I think we will get what we order, otherwise there will be a huge out roar (seriously they havent done anything wrong yet and it's already happening) which would hurt there reputation, they seem like a friendly company trying to get a foot in the online market, yes this is a very good deal and it does seem to cheap but looking at the sheer amount of products they are using just for mse (and it's nearly xmas so normal orders) there bound to get a good discount on items they buy in, i'm guessing there making no money or a loss on these, but if we get 24 hampers and give them to 24 friends and family who love them thats atleast 25 people who now know they do lovely hampers and may consider them in the future.
I got a reply on twitter to my message yesterday, hopefully i'll hear back tomorrow.
Btw did anyone notice the sweet hampers have went up to £40, prob because theres not much of a profit margin on these sweets (we buy the boxes from makro and it's 500 sweets for £3.89 so you need to sell a whole box to make £1.11) and were worried about compliants from people doing this deal.
Lets just wait and see, no point worrying about what if's til they happen.DEC GC £463.67/£450

Firstly Candy222 - I AM one of those who cant afford to throw money away.
I haven't once told anyone what to buy or not buy - so I wont be apologising for anything as everyone is responsible for what they do or do not chose to buy!. I do however think that unnecessarily scaremongering with absolutely NO basis is a bit of an odd thing to do.
The evidence so far is that people who ordered stuff that WAS NOT due to be delivered before the 1st week in DEC - HAVE had their goods delivered as promised (and were pleased with their items). AS far as I can see - nobody who was promised early delivery has not been given early delivery (and that DESPITE it being a small company with an unexpected deluge of orders). All they seem to have done so far is pulled the 'kindness' of allowing people to have all 12 hampers in Dec (which as far as I can see makes sense if they have had an unexpected deluge of orders as they wont have the stock to be able to do that for everyone).
Personally - I did search online to see the owners history and connections prior to ordering - and I will be well within the paypal dispute timeframe if it was to go wrong - but people do have to take responsibility for what they do with their own hard earned cash.
I did read the terms and conditions on their site - and I do also understand what 'loss leaders' are - every good venture has them! sometimes good deals are just that - (and I say that as someone who goes out of my way to make my money go as far as I can stretch it).
I'm sure the people who buy the shoes or dresses for 1p can't see how the companies can sell them at that price - I would imagine NHC are getting a great price on their bulk components - and the very nature of hampers are that the components are never worth the individual selling price - people pay to remove the hassle.
When the hampers arrive I will try to get photos up - if they dont arrive I will chase paypal for a refund - either way - I won't slate or make insinuations about a (so far) perfectly reputable company trying to make a success of themselves by advertising enticing offers that people want to buy, before they have even done anything wrong.
Im sure most people on here are grown up enough to not need someone they dont know to tell them when to be cautious :rotfl:If it weren't for stress I'd have no energy at all. First rule of acting: Whatever happens, look as if it were intended.;)

can you clarify in what way exactly you have assessed that I 'haven't got a clue' - and also clarify what qualifies you to make this assessment? Thanks:rotfl::beer::rotfl:If it weren't for stress I'd have no energy at all. First rule of acting: Whatever happens, look as if it were intended.;)

Well I love a bargain so fingers crossed that all will work out, but if it all goes tits up then so be it, but I reckon the company seem genuine enough so I feel positive and looking forward to my hampers.
I just think everyone needs to chill as there has been no delays yet and if there is, I'm sure we will be kept informed.Have lots more ‘Pending’
But total money I’ve received from Cashback Sites by performing 'Daily Clicks' is ;
APRIL 2007 - JAN 2008 = £2,800:money:0 -
ta for your permission to buy what I want - and if it all goes wrong - my life will still go on.
But you still haven't explained in what way Im clueless or what qualifies you to judge this offer as a dodgy deal based on absolutely nothing but your opinion. I got £150 off a matalan spend earlier - that offer was also 'too good to be true' - but I am also fully expecting delivery of that order next week - sometimes things are really just bargains.
I'm genuinely interested in what makes you so sure that this offer or company are dodgy - in the total absence of anything so far to back up that opinion (other than satisfied customers).:rotfl:If it weren't for stress I'd have no energy at all. First rule of acting: Whatever happens, look as if it were intended.;)

I seem to feel we have been on this conversation with a couple of posters before!!
I am awaiting 14 hampers from this company due for delivery at the end of november, I emailed with a query on saturday and got no reply so phoned today and spoke to him
I had a really nice conversation with a really hard working business man who is doing his best to make a small profit from each of these deals that are of great benefit to us.
At the end of my conversation I was happy that my hampers will be dispatched tomorrow and be with me on friday.
Some items are out of stock and we agreed alternatives to be sent.
There appear to be a small number of people here who are trying to make these deals appear false or a scam. Why would he send out offers which he is unable to fullfill ?
Be realistic - the contents are bought in bulk, the baskets are bought in bulk and the staff are working really hard to pack them and send them out on time.
The hampers sell on their own for about £10 or more yet we are getting them for about £6 delivered with contents.
I am sure that the minimal profits made on these offers are offset by the larger profits made through the wider advertising and awareness that good PR on this site and others provides enabling them to sell individual hampers and baskets.
Surely the nature of hampers, at christmas or any other time, is that the feeling of receiving the gift and the overall impression of the hamper is the joy of the recipient rather than examining the contents and adding up the value!!
I fully expect that the hamper I will receive from my box this xmas will have cost her more than the contents and the hamper combined (I actaully know the cost per hamper as I saw the invoice) but will value it for the sentiment that it will be given in not the cost I could have bought it all for!!!
We who have taken up the offers have the opportunity to spread that joy, those of us who chose not to seem to be taking joy in putting down the quality/value of products that they have not actually received or the standard of customer servcie that they have not been involved in, or making suggestions that the owners are incompetent business people or likely to go out of business because they are not privvy to the owners advertising plan, business plan or profit margins.
He offers a deal which is 1 hamper per month and an extra one for a pittance, yet some of us are not happy with this and ask him to provide them all at one go. When he does this for a few it gets on here and some people get upset because he won't do it for everyone.
The deal was for 1/2 per month so what is wrong with that ?
The problems with delivery e.g where it is left, is not the concern of the supplier it is the courier - got a problem with it e.g. left in unsafe location then moan at the courier not the supplier.
This chap is trying to build a business and we are all able to benefit by these offers, I for one have been more than happy with the price, quality and delivery as well as the customer service and will be taking up repeat offers if they come up - I was talked out of the 1/2 per month offer only because we had enough already but would have taken it up otherwise.0 -
Me too, I've got enough and am skint for now but I'll be watching for offers during the year (and if not, I'll have to just buy the £16.99 chilli hamper anyway!) .52% tight0

I hope that they drop the sweet hampers back to £30 next year after the chrimbo rush as wanted some of these for my future monthly hamper deliveries as a part of the deal. There doesn't seem to be as many sweet choices on the pick your own menu (none of the retro sweets) so will be a bit gutted if I missed out on these ones.0 -
When I was in the shop there didn’t seem to be a shortage of people buying full price hampers, so I guess they make a big profit on those!
I might add they have a shop full of goodies & they do look Fab all made up - some in cellophane wrapping, so you can see why people are tempted by them. Not everyone knows about MSE!
They have obviously looked into this deal & I trust them to know what they are doing, the time to start whinging is when it all goes pear shaped!
We are collecting our hampers as we live nearby & I have every faith that we will be getting them!
I think some people just want this to go wrong for us to prove a point!Too much of a good thing can be wonderful!0
