    Morning All
Grey and dismal here today, but it is supposed to be a dry weekend so I will strip all the beds tomorrow.
My friend has just dropped her dog off we are looking after him for the weekend while she is away, he is a lovely natured springer spaniel called boycie :D.
He has settled on my feet while I am on the computer, who needs slippers :D
Oh well must clean the house BFN x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Hi all:wave:

Brainfog today (again!!) so I'm typing on a Word.doc while I read the thread – the up side to this is that I can reply to more peoples' posts personally. (Of course this may be a down side if you find my posts boring.....):D

Also the wretched BD has moved in:mad: – probably because Mr LW's back at work today, so I'm on my own. Still, maybe the brown dog arriving this evening for the weekend will see it off.;)

Halight have a totally platonic cyber-(((HUG))) and very best of luck sorting out what you're going to do. It makes my lupus look like a cake-walk.:o

Esmf getting a label on DS's condition means at least you know what you're dealing with. There are, I know, lots of mums dealing with this on here, so I'm sure there's a whole load of support for you. And of course, my very best wishes as you start out on this newly-signposted road.:o

Forever Saving aww, bless, poor DD. I sympathise – I have no eyebrows either, and precious little in the way of eyelashes. But at my age, it's not so important. :o

Adelight oh dear, Coyote (the Trickster) has you in his sights today. Just keep smiling and pretend you thought it was Dress-Down Friday.:D

Judi we seem to go through more milk and bread than I ever thought possible – only two of us, but I make two, sometimes three loaves a week, and we seem to get through two 6-pint cartons of milk a week too.

Bitsy enjoy your weekend with DH. Can you get a little time for just the two of you at all?;)

Butterfly Brain Enjoy Boycie – he sounds like fun! My new guest arriving tonight is a 13 year old chocolate Labrador, named Megan. I can't wait for it to be 17:30, which is when she's due to arrive.:o

Mr LW helped me with the housework while he was on leave; he also made a tomato loaf by himself (with me calling instructions from the sofa, because I was feeling dizzy) and he helped me make a carrot'n'orange cake and a blackberry'n'apple crumble yesterday - he's very good, he washes up the dirty stuff as I make it dirty, so I don't have the mountain of washing up at the end.:A:A:A:A:A
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon All

FB - Hope you feel better soon.
Bitsy - Have a good weekend!
HH - Are you sure that was all last evening?!
ForeverSaving - One of my friends has no eyebrows and she has a semi-permanent tattoo every couple of years, could be an option for when DD is a little older. Hugs to her.

Well last night was ok, had friends 2 children to stay overnight (7 & 9), the 9 year old insisted on sleeping in his sleeping bag which rustled like a crisp packet all night and the 7 year old (girl) slept in with me and I was poked, hugged and kicked all night! Wish I didn't have work tonight as I am shattered!! Still, their parents had a good night out at a Scissor Sisters concert and stayed in Glasgow so they made the most of their time on their own.

Just tidied up, washing on the airers, weather here is miserable so not much fun. Last day of half term, October is usually quite good weather but not this time.

Have an appt at the physio this afternoon (only taken 6 months) to see about my back - it is intermittent but horrible when it strikes.

    Take care. XX

You know your getting old when you
go to the pub sit outside
and admire the hanging basket
    Is officially 48% tight :D
  • Good afternoon all,
Still throwing it down here. Nipped to the shop on my way home from work just to get some bits and pieces so that i haven't got to go out over the weekend.
Esmf, I hope you get all the support you need.
Bargainbird, yes that is our dog Jasper. The picture makes him look bigger than he actually is. He is probably a bit bigger than a cocker/springer spaniel.
LW, DD hasn't got lashes either. She used to have lovely long lashes before the alopecia.
Camelot 1001, the hospital spoke about tattoo's. I think that would be the next step to think about if the injections have no effect.
Well i had better get the dumplings made for the stew.
I hope everyone has a good rest of the day and evening.

  • Camelot how dare you cast aspidistras at me & hubby, lol, of course all we did was browse the catalogues, now tonight is a whole nother matter, I'm home & about to change into my PVC corset, stockings & heels, before I head off to collect him!!!!

We've had a really explosive day at school, I can't write about it, but boy, everyone's head is reeling.

  • Evening all

Bitsy - enjoy having OH home for weekend!

Thanks for the well-wishes, feeling loads better today :) could even risk not having a tissue in my hand/up my sleeve/in my pocket/down my bra :rotfl:.

This morning took work kids back to the school as we were invited to join in their assembly as they wanted to say thank you for the greenhouse. We got a certificate and 2 big tubs of Celebrations :D. No work kids in the afternoon so I did some admin and unpacked a few more boxes in work. Skip coming Monday to take away a huge pile of rubbish!

OS wise - WM on and will dry on radiators, fresh food shop done in Aldi earlier, recycling to sort, stirfry for tea,

    Have a good evening all
