I live in Japan but am wanting to go back to Britain for christmas. Planning to leave the 21st and come back some time in early January.
I expect it to be expensive and checkign expedia the cheapest I found was just over 800 quid. Ouch. But no helping it, I tried to book- it tells me the flight is not available! Why is it showing up on the search if it is not available? What is wrong here?
Alternatives seem to cost 50 pounds more. Which sucks but its already dear so what is 50 quid. But I wonder; is there a better/cheaper place to find flights?
I notice going direct to the airlines concerned and checking hte british airways site itself gives prices that are three times as much. Whats the deal there?

You want to fly on peak demand dates and wonder why it is expensive?
Expedia pricing will never be 100% current all the time, because they skim flight booking databases and can't do it continuously. No 3rd party website ever will be.
BA flights on BA website seem to be approx 35000 Yen each way in Economy, so approx £600 return???British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
