Windows 8 is going to be released soon and I'm wondering if it will be worth installing it on my PC, which is a Core2Duo 2.7GHz with 4GB RAM
Also how much is it going to cost?

Why do you want it?
I'd at least wait until SP1 is released for it, to iron out the inevitable [STRIKE]features [/STRIKE]bugs it will come with.
You can pre-order it for about £50 if you can't wait.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. Is that not a bit of out-dated advice? I mean, back in the days of XP that was the case but that was 10 years ago0 -

Available to download from Microsoft Store for £24.99 from 26th October, plus 15% Quidco.
Or if you bought or plan to buy a Win7 machine between 2 June 12 and 31 Jan 13 a Win8 [STRIKE]down[/STRIKE]upgrade is £14.99.

It doesn't quite work that way with W8 - what you'd think of as SP1 has already been released to OEMs.0

Vista was a disaster that most of us could not wait to get rid of.I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us.0

worth installing - I doubt it, iterations of mature operating systems add little essential functionality nowadays just more bloat, more gimmicks (touch), and Microsoft have a habit of releasing a turkey UI followed by a good one - change for changes (and profits) sake.
W7 was a good one, but apart from the size difference, it's not that different to XP!!
