GeoIsp

Options
I'm on BT Option 1. According to the tariff for this, I should be charged 5.5p for the first hour of all calls to local and national numbers after 6pm.

So when I started to use Geoisp dialup on 020 8114 9845 , I wasn't very pleased to find that I was being charged by the minute by BT for calls after 6pm and had run up about £10 of charges.

Anyone else using Geoisp should check their bill, and complain if they are being charged this way.

It's taken about 5 emails to the BT Residential Billing Dept (based in India!) to get this sorted out. I kept recieving the same stupid stock reply from different customer service agents, written in the same broken English....
"according to your tariff you are being charged".

Eventually, I completely lost my temper and requested that they........
"Please take the time to read the enclosed emails before answering; this might prevent you from sending out he same stock answer yet again and being thought a complete idiot." This seems to have reached the right person, and I've had an assurance that the charges are in error and that it will be put right on my next bill.

We'll see.
