I think you need to tell her of your plans and say "therefore you will need to have found a full-time job by X date".

I left school at 17, my sister at 16 and part-time working just wasn't something we even considered or thought our parents would have been happy with us doing. If it had happened that we could have only found part-time work, it would have been only as a temporary measure or we would have been expected to find an additional part-time job as well eg working in pub a few nights.
  • Thanks for that idea which is a really good one. We are loathe to sell as yet as we want to be sure the house abraod works for us. We have lived in the house for 19 years and are very fond of it. Also we are looking forward to welcoming our grandchildren when and if they arrive. However we will not hold on to it if all works well with our travel plans and we find it is a burden to us.
