How to afford full time childcare working full time?

It's difficult but you need to make your hours work for you. I have 16 month year old twins and discovered when looking into part time options i couldn't earn anything unless I worked full time. I found child minders more expensive as I needed care from 7.30-6 and as childminders charged per hour a day nursery worked better for me. By working shorter hours you may e paying more child care. For example if I was to work mornings only the charge for morning child are per child is 25 per day but only 33 for a full day. Can u arrange ur hours over less days? I know it's difficult but u should be able to cut our food costs- we allow ourselves 300 per month but also have oh 2 older daughters for a third of the time- we have managed on less than that.0

Regarding tax credits I don't think ud be entitled to anything if only ur Oh worked. We had the same dilemma but due to paying child maintenance we simply could not afford for me not to work. We live in a relatively cheap area so would imagine your costs are similar tours once we ve paid maintenance. It's tough but hang on in there. Sooner or lat ul get the 15 free hours then they will be a school.0

My partner and I had to get an au pair as we work unsociable hours- frankly, it is the cheapest option as well!0
