    2. The fact that, on the email - it says that you have elected to pay by continuous payment is exactly what my problem is - IT IS TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BY THEN !!
No, it is not too late to do anything about it.

You have almost one year after discovery of 'your problem' to give them a ring and undo that continuous payment authority.

I have been with Greenflag, easy enough to cancel before renewal but annoying non the less.

And you do need to cancel, every year. My renewal price (even with no claim bonus discount!) was always more expensive than taking out a fresh policy!! and then with the fresh policy there is a decent cashback via a cashback site too.

I agree - my policy cost me £17 this year - £50 cashback through Quidco !!

Just had my renewal paperwork from GreenFlag, in common with some other breakdown organisations the cost shot up from last year (£37 to £50.88 including no call out discount), the cheeky &S%s.

I phoned to cancel and said I had a better offer elsewhere, their best offer was a £5 discount and a suggestion to cancel and start again via their web site! I have taken my business to AutoAid for £39, hope that wasn't stepping out of the frying pan...

    1. Why should they assume that everyone wants to continue year after year with the same service - they should give you a tick box to give you the option of not taking this up - perhaps even ticked by default - just remove to remove option

    2. The fact that, on the email - it says that you have elected to pay by continuous payment is exactly what my problem is - IT IS TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BY THEN !!

    3. You appear to be the short sighted one here !!

    4. My hearing is fine, as is my sight - my speech is unfortunately lacking though (really) !!

No, it's not. The CPA, as annoying as they are, won't actually matter until next year when your policy is due for renewal. Therefore you have almost an entire year in which to contact Green Flag and request that you're taken off CPA.

    WRONG !!
How could 5 "super agents" expect to cover the whole country and get to any part within an hour ?
Do they fly or something ?
Most - if not all of the alternatives to AA and RAC use local agents...

Thanks - that is exactly what I do too - Quidco gave me £40 cash back on a £55 policy !!

I ordered online from Asda, and it was here within an hour of leaving the shop! How is this possible when their depot is over 3 hours away?

Oh yeah, they have local branches! Much like their super agents will have. So you are 'WRONG !!' as you typed to someone who is in fact correct.

Do you actually think about what you type?
