in Credit cards
I will be visiting Australia in 2013 for 1 month.
Can anyone recommend a credit card for this trip, cheapest in terms of charges.

We use Saga cards when abroad - no charge for using them.0

Halifax Clarity is good as there are no ATM fees unlike most cc andthe rate is very competitive. You would still have to pay interest on cash advances but you can minimise this by clearing your bill regularly providing you'll have safe internet access.
Don't leave it until the kast minute to apply though as it can take a while by the time the credit card agreement comes through and you sign and return it, then wait for the card and PIN to come.0 -

Has I'm already a Halifax customer maybe the Halifax Clarity card would be a good solution.
I currently have a Halifax cashback card but this charges on oversea's transactions.0 -
Whilst some applications will always slip through, Halifax don't generally let you have two 'mainstream' cards with them at the same time.easymoney999 wrote: »I currently have a Halifax cashback card...
You may need to close down the old card first and wait 30 days or so before you can apply for the Clarity card. Of course they may still decline you but that's the chance you take.0 -
Not a Credit Card, but Norwich & Peterborough offer a Current Account with no overseas usage fees - worth looking at0

You are correct, I've spoken to Halifax & they don't allow you 2 cards.
If I want a Clarity Card I would first have to close my cashback card.
In the end I decided to look elsewhere, Nationwide looks like my second choice.0 -

Erm...no!
First choice; Metro Bank CC if within the M25, otherwise the Post Office Mastercard.0
