London/EDF Online v3 - Still cheapest?

I'm on dual fuel with EDF, the bills say my tariff is Online V3 Standard. I've done a price comparison with 3 different sites and they all tell me the next cheapest supplier will only cost me £60-100 more per year. This happened the last time Martin told everyone to switch - surely I can't have a price from feb 2006 (when I last switched) that's still cheaper than any other even after the current price drops!?

I'm quite sure I've done the comparisons right, I do check up on it fairly often! It just seems unbelievable that I'm lucky enough not to have to switch in over a year.

EDIT: Slight correction, energyhelpline doesn't allow me to select online v3 but having checked the unit prices there's still nothing cheaper.

Went through exactly the same 3 weeks ago nothing would come close to EDF Online V3. I also tried saying i was with another supplier and then checked the exact tariff of the suggested suppliers against EDF V3 nothing could beat it.

I can remember someone who was on EDF Online V5 or was it V1 who enjoyed a cheaper tariff but it is also Region dependant (tariff varies depending the region you are located in)

i took part in the discussion. Some tariff details are shown

Excellent stuff, looks like I won't be switching for the foreseeable future. Let's hope EDF continue to 'forget' about us online customers ;)

There were a lot of posts some while ago.

When EDF took over some accounts(London Energy was one) they kept those versions of the on-line tariff at a low level and did not bring them into line with the other(later) versions of their on-line tariffs when those tariffs were raised. I believe they only raised prices once in 2006 in July.

Yes the last tariff rise was in July 2006, I spoke to EDF 3 weeks ago and stated they had no intention of lowering the tarrif as they belived no other supplier was cheaper (had both a verbal and written reply)
Currently you are on a market leading tariff which i strongly doubt any supplier could match.

Never the less i intend to check every 4-6 weeks anyway:rolleyes:
