As much as I love this site, the pop ups are dreadful! They all come (every few minutes) from CiD for every imaginable product and it is driving me insane. I never had anything like this before joining and I don't have pop ups from anywhere else. Any advice please??

Never ever had any pop-ups on the MSE site either.
Just done a quick "Google" and found two possible solutions (it's a common problem by sound of things!)
"Open your browser. At the top click on the Tools menu scroll down to Popup Blocker. Turn you Blocker on if its off. Also repeat the above steps except view your blocker option to ensure that you don't have undisired sites listed in your pop blocker allowed sites list. Also check the filter setting in that same window. If it's set to low it will allow some pop ups through. Set it to medium or high. I keep mine on medium and it prompts me to allow pop up from accessed sites"
"you have to click Start>Control Panel>add and remove prorams.
Then you look for <cid help> and remove it. it installed itself onto my computer and I got rid of it and its all gone! "0 -
Thanks for suggesting turning on pop up blocker but this has always been on and the problems only started recently.
however, I had a look at the prevx site and I have downloaded stuff to battle this demon!! haha
I'm sitting with baited breath. Because I get so many, I will know within minutes if it has worked.0 -
OMG!!!!! It worked..the nightmare is over. :j :beer:0
