Texts from PPI claims company
Comments

I find that these texts often claim to know exactly how much I am owed, yet don't know whether it was on a credit card or a loan!
The Information Commissioner's Office has been very slow to take action but has finally started issuing fines. In addition to reporting it to the network, please also report it to the ICO using the 'Report your Concerns' button at
http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints/marketing.aspx
The more people who report each number that is being used to send these nuisance text messages, the better.0 -

Well if they are refunding PPI to you and you still owe on the card. Then you could ask for it to be paid to bring the balance down. If it was going to put it in a positive balance, then they won't.
In fact that is could be a good idea. As remember you should/have declared the refund to the taxman. So this would/could be a way of avoiding having to paying the tax on the refund.
As you have not actually recieved anything.... (Yes. I know stretching the point a bit :rotfl:)Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

Hi Paul_Herring,
I've raised this with the relevant area and will keep an eye on it.
Thanks,

I'd just like to comment after receiving yet another spam text telling me im entitled to PPI mis-selling, although i've never taken it out as i've always thought it was a con anyway.
Its all well and good saying don't reply STOP, etc as it may mean you confirm your number is live, but when you get atleast 1 a week it seems they already know!
We need a way to spam them back, if there was a website that allowed you to send a pre-written message (to prevent people abusing the system for their own use) from an ever changing number, to any spam numbers, maybe we can clog up their system.0
