Sounds good. Do keep the forum updated as it progresses.0

Just play like a sheeple and take them all the way. Let's hope they are the first to be hit with a "fine" of £32.00 ha ha.
This thread is going to be a long but good one. Go for it mate.
It makes me want to go and get a PPC "invoice" myself again.
In fact i think i will have one of horse face's tomorrow. Let's see what happens then.0 -
I've written a fairly standard looking appeal letter stating that I had a valid permit, parked in good faith in a suitable space within my work car park, that there were no markings, yellow lines etc, and asking them nicely to cancel the 'ticket'.
I'll send it off tomorrow and feed back how the appeal process goes.
Yep that's exactly how to play it at this stage! :TPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hey BT42, it probably hasn't dawned on you that Taffy's example of an appeal letter is a mere parody - it is evidently poking fun at the PPC. In it, he is playing "ignorant" by assuming the invoice to be a "fine" and also a "penalty charge" both of which are illegal terms for a parking company. As such, if they acknowledge his letter they have shot themselves in the balls and if they don't, well, there can't be a charge can there? Unless they are claiming it is losses but they don't normally do this with their target: they hide behind their "agreed terms when you parked" old pony.
And the "you are a reputable company" line is cloying!
It might be worth a try, give them the rope and they may just hang themselves!0 -

The wording is for the uninitiated of this scam, the fines and penalties is in there because a company will expect that from someone with no clue what this really is. The reputable company thing is typically British and we expect all companies to be above board. This is just one suggestion there should be no template as all it will take is one look on here by the ppcs to know that this is from a knowledgeable person.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
I did get the point. The approach has its merits.0

It's purely to get a rejection and onto to a popla appeal that costs them £32Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

...and when it goes to POPLA, knock the parking company out with your revelation of knowledge!
Step 1 - pathetic appeal to PPC
Step 2 - throw book at PPC via POPLA, by which time, too late PPC, they are £32 down.
A way to sign off to POPLA might be:
Please note that I am not interested in the outcome of this communication from your department as I will not be paying the unlawful charge either way. Save yourselves the postage fee by not replying.

Imagine the reactions from the PPC!!!!!!0 -
Well done and keep calm. I am positive that should you need any help/guidance the above posters will be more than happy to helpThe word about the scammers is spreading like marmite here in the westcountry.
We workers all love it and the ppc hate it :rotfl:0 -
Just realised I had to send the letter off to the same address as the address as the cheques for the gullible go to. Dammit- I've wasted a stamp rather than relying on their greed!
Also, is it of interest that the address reads "Penalty Charge Department, PO Box etc..."0
