but what if it is unlawful what the bank has done?
well on a brighter side now I may have to pay back £1300 for 11 years by £10 monthly installments
Also remember that you are also being an irresponsible adult with which every creditor from now on will treat you like a kid who's just left school now that's really something to be proud of.0 -

Whilst I disagree with the offensive nature of the SierraBravo post, I do agree that you had absolutely no intention of paying back your dues to Wonga, and you are only bleating on about it being 'unlawful' as your plans were scuppered when the bank allowed the payment that you authorised Wonga to take.
Get over it, and put your energies into finding another job instead of going on a fruitless wild goose chase.
look. i considered funny sierrabravo's post as it wasnt that pretentious as to really read my inner thoughts. So to consider it otherwise is a bit of a joke indeed
im not one of those either that rates credit-worthiness as the world's new Ideal or the source of happiness or success0 -
Not necessarily. Overdrafts are payable on demand and the bank can simply claw back their money as soon as any money goes into your account. They could also CCJ you, which in addition to screwing up your credit even more than it already is, could make it hard for you to open another account elsewhere - even a basic one. If you cannot open a new account elsewhere, then the risk of going to your bank one day and finding your account has been emptied (e.g. when you find a new job), is a very real one.
there was never an overdraft facility
and i do have another current acc0 -
So you think it is in your interest for the bank to refuse the payment and the debt increasing exponentially and some APR of 1000%s and massive fees for defaulting with wonga or them paying it for you and you paying it back a leisurely £10 per month?
It seems that they were incredibly generous acting the way they did and now you want to dispute it? Crazy.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
no absolutely not. i have said it I am much better off paying back the bank rather than PDL com (as i intended not to do any bad publicity for wonga)
im not sure whether they were incredibly generous. they got the money by mistake or some other mechanism i dont know
but forgive me, and i want to thank all for their comments, i needed some expert technical advice as to the issue of whether i now owe my bank the £920?0 -

You still owe someone money, be thankful its not a PDL."All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered, the point is to discover them."
