Cancel Times+ Subscription

Hi all

I saw an offer with the The Times newspaper to get a £50 Amazon voucher for signing up to The Times Plus Digital Package. It said it would take a month to get my voucher, which I did.

However now I want to cancel my subscription they are saying that I am committed to a 52 week contract. This wasn't made clear when signing up, however it is hidden in very small print in the terms and conditions.

Does anyone know if there is a way I can get out of this. Could I just cancel the direct debit through the bank.

Thanks

Jamie

You could cancel your direct debit but Rupert would probably send the boys round. or trash your credit record.

Why do you think they would give you a £50 voucher if you could then cancel after 4 weeks? It would hardly be a profitable business model!
