I wanna value my car

Options
Just went to the glass website to get an accurate price on how much my car is worth, but they charge £3.50... any similar sites that do it for free?

    Hi

Try an advanced search on autotrader (you need to register first for advanced searching), look up other cars for sale like you model and see what they are going for.

Using the advanced search determine the mileage and age of the vehicle, set the search to National to return the most results and see what other people are selling the same car, similar mileages, similar condition cars for.

I'll move your thread to the 'Motoring & Public Transport' board.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

    Regards

    boatman beat me to it.

Remember the value is the trade price, so if it is a newer car you should be adding a bit on if you are selling it or tradeing it in as there is always a markup in the glasses prices for dealers.

Autotrader also does a free valuation through WhatCar? I used it a few days ago and thought it came out a bit too high for my car but it gives you a rough idea.

Comparing cars on Autotrader is about the best you can do for free, but be aware cars are on there as teasers and a lot don't sell. (Also bear in mind £3.50 is a bargain for one-offs as my book costs the best part of £400 a year!)

I asked my local dealer and he showed me the listing in Glass's Guide.
