  • thanks, got one for my sister for xmas, have to look out for offers on the discs now so i can get them for her too
    Thanks to all competition posters!
  • Picked mine up this evening. Had a quick look in Tesco before I got the Tassimo in Argos and the one I saw was £120! I'm not sure if it was the same model but I felt like a kid in a sweet shop buying one for a mere £50. Now to trawl the web for cheap discs. Thank you OP.

Yay I have mine and it is wonderful, I can't believe I managed without one all this time.

On the way home from work last night I went into a small local Metro Tesco thinking I would buy a pack of discs, regardless of cost just to try them out. The only ones they had was the Crema ones reduced to £2.02 a pack for 16 drinks, so I bought 6 packs.

I am not one for kitchen gadgets but I do love a good coffee and this is ideal. So quick and easy.

    Thanks OP

  • I got a Tassimo last year on one of Amazon's Black Friday deals and love it. My kettle has lived in the cupboard the past year.
I have arthritis in my hands and with the Tassimo I'm only lifting one hot cup and not a hot kettle. Much safer IMHO.

You can reuse some of the pods a 2nd time although the 2nd cup is obviously weaker but good enough for a top up. For tea I use a pod in the morning and then if I want more tea during the day I put the used pod back in the machine and a teabag in the cup. Same with coffee, used coffee pod and instant coffee in the cup.

I hope everyone ejoys their Tassimos, I know if mine were to break down I would be straight out to replace it and bu**er the cost.

I am probably being a bit thick here, but how do they work - literally fill up the tank with water, place in a pod, press a button and away you go? Where does the milk come from? (please don't say cows!) :)

Do you need anything else - don't need extra milk and stuff for a capuccino/latte?

I previously had a coffee machine with a tank for milk and it was a pain cleaning it all the time...so left it. Would like to avoid this in future, so just want to make sure that these tassimo machines don't run on the same principal.

Thanks and sorry if it's a dumb question....

you get the milk pod with lattes and cappuccinos, if you are using black coffees just add your own milk or you can buy milk pods, alot easier just fill the water tank and put in a pod and a coffee in less than a minute.

i have just done my online order for the pods with the £20 voucher got 112 drinks altogether for just over £15 so works out around 14p a drink.
