You get the discount when you register the machine on the Tassimo site. It doesn't matter where you buy the machine. However, the minimum purchase from Tassimo is £25 & there's £5 postage.

Argos aren't being so generous then ! (£20 off on the Tassimo website)

Anyone know where to get some cheap pods for it though, seems very expensive cup of coffee.

    Thanks in advance
Its rarely on discount. Factor this into your decision. The tdiscs are expensive.

Just reserved one, brill price :) Thanks :)

When you reserve you get a message about some cash-back offer BUT there was a warning on this forum recently.

I just noticed they want your debit/credit card to pay a monthly fee - how iffy!! (they will have to try harder!)

I don't know why retailers do this. Its blatant advertisement and make their website less credible with such advertisements. Pizza Hut always have that ad whenever I order from them also.

I love my Tassimo, and I justify buying the expensive t-discs by saving money on everything else i buy using this forum! :p

altough i did find a (single lonely) pack of 8 milk discs on clearance in Tesco earlier for 54p, but generally they never go cheap anywhere!

Thank you, this has been on my wish list for ages and I've reserved it for collection at Argos tomorrow.

I justify it as cheaper per cup than a take-out coffee. Plus I get the Costa Americano discs as I drink black coffee (but you could add your own milk) and you get 16 discs of coffee for the same price as 8 lattes.

Just to confuse matters, in the terms & conditions section it says:

"6.6 For deliveries within the United Kingdom mainland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the British Isles only, the £5.00 delivery charge is waived for orders placed to the value of £35 or more in a single delivery, up to the maximum weight per single delivery specified in condition 6.2 above"

    https://www.tassimo.co.uk/shop/shop-terms-and-conditions/831

My guess is that that's more likely than under £35 (and would be in line with DG!)
  • thats my mums xmas present sorted then!!!
September shopping budget £325/£146.44 (uh ohhh ) :rotfl:this didn't include 2 new car seats at £50!
    Petrol budget £150/£120:eek:

School money - £93.73  so much for "free" education!

Thanks for the heads-up. I've just picked up my reservation.

(Argos were on Watchdog last night re: their promotions)

I was tempted in with this great 1/2 price deal, £20 Tassimo first shop Email voucher, 2 year guarantee & a variety of Coffees, Lattes, Chocolates & Teas etc.

Fancied a change from my almost 2yr old DG machine. (they lost their sparkle when they ditched the points in favour of nowt)
