    When they invented alcohol?

Some people are just plain knuckle dragging scum, all they need is a good excuse. Luckily there's people like you around to give them that excuse. Put it to the test. When you have had a few drinks do you go attacking people? I don't, lots of people don't, you might but that's your problem, not the fault of something that people have been enjoying for centuries.

Not OK, but this is a business that principally makes a profit from selling a mind altering drug. Is it any wonder some of the users do not behave as they might normally do?

Must be dangerous working in a chemist then , by this logic!

Do you honestly think that giving them an excuse is lucky? What a strange view.

My post was not made in support of this idiot but then I think most readers would have gathered that. Why you could not is beyond me?

    Hi all

    Thanks for your comments.

To add to all this turns out the guy only got out of prision on Monday morning  Received word this morning that he has been charged and will be in court in December.

The guy had only had 1 drink in the pub (I don't know about before) but seemed pretty lucid and was calm the whole time (which is a scary thing).

OH is ok just in a lot of pain and can't get comfy due to his injurys but hopefully once the bruising has reduced on his ribs he will be ok. Just worried about the whiplash now.

    Hope your OH is OK.

the geezer who did this must like prison - well as most of them are holiday camps I can see why.

Frankly, I am grateful every day that I don't have a job dealing with the general public.

That's what really got to me when I was told. This guy has probably never done anything in his life.

OH works his butt off doing long hours living 80 miles away from me just so he can earn money. Yet this scum will never have to worry about anything like that and just sit in prison getting decent food, medical care ect :(

What makes you say that? Do you honestly think that the police will do nothing about an assault that put someone in hospital?
Even if the police defeat the CPS (can't prosecute service) and get the case to court, the sentence will not reflect the crime.
