Thanks Tf, i'm really happy too.

ps. to all on here...you are all welcome to the house warming party too...just bring a bottle and a paint brush...lol.

    Dave X.

Dave, If we all came to your house warming with a bottle...there`d be no painting done!!!
  • i think i've become so complacent over the years that i just throw everything in together and don't worry about it.
    I'm a BR i don't have anything of value:confused:

Bubble wrap though is great stuff...wrap in a little paper first, then cover in bubble wrap. You can get it from most newsagents.

Pack things a month in advance that won't be needed..e'g only leave out two plates, two cups etc then wrap the rest. The last two of each can then be wrapped the night before.

Change beds a week before and wash the spare. The spare can then be packed up and used when you move.

Dave are you a member of your local Freecycle groups? Get yourself on there and put out a shout for packing boxes and material. You may have to do an offer before you do a want, but I'm sure you can find something.

  • ask at all shops re packing boxes. They usually glad to get rid of them otherwise they have to pay the local council for removal.

If you shop at Tesco then just drop the odd sheet of bubble wrap in your basket as you go through the veg dept...saves buying it!!
