    Both Mclarens drove back to the pits at about 40 mph after their qualifying lap in order to save fuel. That was while other people were still trying to do their qualification laps.:eek: Ruined other peoples hot laps, and was dangerous.

    I think it was more of a technical issue with one wheel on the pitstop.

    At least he is still 3 points ahead. :)

    he drove well i thought this morning...very early start though after my late night....6am came around all to quick.

    the pit stop though was a bit of a disaster...20secs instead of the 9ish it should of took.

    Ooops! that was a bit naughty, they should know better than that. Well deserved penalty then.

    Shame about the wheel but as you say still 3 points ahead :D but all that can change very quickly.

    Yep. Looked like he was going to recover from the penalty and get on to the podium until that happened. :doh:

    Crumbs, I bet they are kicking themselves then.

    Though considering this is only his second season and most people in his position would be over the moon at finishing 5th. He's just scary.

    Most people would!

    But then he's been coached by Ron Dennis since he was a small kid to do exactly what he is doing now. Still impressive though.
