North Face UK Outlet Online - Counterfeit Goods

Just a word of warning, do NOT use North Face UK Outlet Online http://www.northfaceukonline.co.uk/

It's appears to be UK facing website but the goods are counterfeit and dispatched from China.

I ordered my husband a North Face body warmer and it arrived today and it is clearly a fake. The payment on my credit card shows as going to China.

Have raised a dispute via my credit card company for goods not as described but not sure if it's possible to get any money back.

Just a warning to other users!

Just had a look at the website, the only details under contact us are for email, no address or tel no. Whilst it does look better than most of the fake sites, the Shipping and returns also doesn't seem right for a UK company, as it refers to USD.

Hope your credit card company can help, not sure about trading standards or North Face themselves, I'm sure they would want to get such a site taken down to protect the brand.

It looks as thought the .co.uk is acting as a drop shipper and maybe shipping from the .com

Thanks so much for the replies - much appreciated.

I have raised with my credit card company so will see what they come back with. I explained the good were fake and not the size described. I also noticed the price confirmed on my confirmation email does not match the price on my credit card statement.

I did phone Citizens Advice / Trading Standards and they have logged a case but not much they can do as company is not UK based. I feel better for logging a case if nothing else :) I also reported the site on the BrandIt part of the Trading Standards website.

OP - as you can see this board gets very little traffic and your timely and valuable warning might reach more people posted on another board. Perhaps the Praise, Vents & Warnings?

I'm sure many people will appreciate knowing about this outfit.
  • My hubby did his own search online for a North Face jacket he wants for christmas so I used the link he emailed me to buy it only now I am concerned! It is northfaceukonline.co.uk

My credit card statement shows a different price to the one I received in my confirmed email & also that the company is in Beijing not UK as the site leads you to believe. I feel sick!!! Hope the jacket comes coz I doubt will be able to argue with my CC company on this one.

I annoyed with myself as I usually so careful with online shopping but took it granted hubby knew what he looking for.
  • Did you get anything back regarding this from your credit card?
  • I was also done by this website northfaceukonline
The website looks very good and it does suck you in to buying with huge savings,I brought 2 jackets and a vest and was charged one price by the website and my credit card was charged another price so I was suspicious so I done a bit of investigating and told north face .com of my findings, they assured me that they would look into it and told me if I brought any north face products always look for the hologram which will be on one of the labels as this is very hard to counterfeit.
I contacted my credit card company and lodged a complaint as I have believed to have received counterfeit goods, they were very helpful and said they would put the payment I made on hold for 120 days until I could get evidence to support this.they advised me as long as I could get an independent appraisal on the goods by a north face retailer there would be a good chance I would get my money refunded.
Today I went to a north face shop and got the manager of the shop to look at the items I brought an he did confirm that they were counterfeit so he wrote me a letter so I could send to my credit card company.
If you come across a website offering big discounts always look through it and check the contact us page if there's no contact number or business address close the page. North face assured me the only shop which is allowed to discount genuine items is Bicester village shopping centre

Really helpful post - thanks for this.

Out of interest I clicked on the website link and it has now disappeared - but on Googling it a couple of other sites popped up that definitely look like counterfeit sites. Could well be the same scam artists.

As a fell walker I'm a big fan of North Face gear but know that it does cost a lot of money. If it looks like a big bargain, then it's not North Face. The last North Face down coat I bought was from Gaynors in Ambleside, Cumbria (massive store that stocks everything a walker could wish for at good prices). Not outlet prices but you can usually get around 10-15% off the list price which, on a £200 coat, can really add up. Bit of a trek to get to if you don't live in the North West, though.

Hope all of you that have had the misfortune to be ripped off manage to get your money back.

Hi, Just been trapped on this website too, but its now" nfoutlet "Savings didn't look that massive so it wasn't a case of to good to be true. I paid £96 for a jacket....then I read this thread. I contacted my back as the payment hasn't gone out yet but they told me they couldn't stop the payment. I have e mailed the company saying I would like to cancel but have heard nothing back yet. Has anyone had any joy receiving refunds and what are my options now. I need help please !!
    Thank you
  • Hi all, I've been had by the above site, which is I assume the same site with a different name....The site is now Down and has been for a couple of days but looking on-line I think they have just changed their web site to uksnorthfacesale.org.uk...so beware!

The jacket I bought arrived today, I ordered a ladies Triclimate, but received a Mens Pro Shell...so double whammy. They too took slightly more from my card than I was actually charged.

Admittedly the jacket looks really good, I may be wrong but this looks like it came of the same line as the original, but just finished elsewhere...so I can at least use it for walking the dogs.

Unfortunately in this case the term "if it looks to good to be true, it probably is" is right on the money. Beware all...
