Lock in Fixed Rate now or wait until March?

My husband and I are looking at opening our first Cash ISAs and are planning to do a two-year fixed rate for one of them. From what I've been reading, it sounds like good deals come around in March each year.

I wondered if you think it would be a good idea to put both of our ISAs in an instant access ISA at the moment, and look to transfer one of them to a fixed rate ISA next spring?

Thanks!

As no one can know, what about hedging your bets.
Put one in a fix now, the other in instant access and hope for rate rises later.
  • I think Coventry has a 60-day-notice ISA at 3.25% which might be a decent compromise. I don't know if it allows you to cancel a request to withdraw - could give notice in Feb but then just cancel that if the rates are worse come April.
