Howdens Kitchen Appliances

Does anyone know what make of Kitchen Appliances Howdens sell as my builder is sending around a Howdens kitchen designer on Friday and he thought that they have a selection of cheaper makes of appliances but he wasn't sure if they sold any more upmarket brands such as Bosch and Siemens.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Thanks for your reply.

I was hoping they would sell Bosch as I have a Bosch Washing Machine and Fridge Freezer I haven't had any trouble with them.

What are Howdens prices like for these Appliances?

I asked my Builder how they compared to internet prices. He said he didn't know but it would be more convenient for him if I bought them from Howdens. I guess he will be adding his own margin on but I really don't want to be paying over the odds for them.

    Hello

We recently had an estimate from Howdens including appliances and it worked out at :

    Diplomat electric oven £622.74
    diplomat 70cm gas hob £197.39
    chimney extractor(90cm curved glass) £489.96
    ducting kit £22.61

I've checked on the internet and can get a better quality electric oven and chimney extractor for a lot less than the Howden's quote so I would definitely suggest looking around as they are expensive when it comes to appliances. ( The ducting kit is selling for £10 on ebay!). Which kitchen are you interested in?
We had the estimate on the Hampton range and our total estimate was £3200

Howdens are good value EXCEPT on Appliances. Found that out last year.

You'll get them miles cheaper on the internet, use a cashback site and get more dosh back as well.

    I've been Money Tipped!
We had the complete Howdens package kitchen about 18 months ago. I recently had my repair man in to fix a fault on the washing machine (which I had caused - nothing to blame the manufacturer for) and although it did not say so on the casing, he was pretty sure that it had been made by Servis. In his opinion, it was of perfectly reasonable quality and I have been quite happy with it.

I was looking at the Glendevon Kitchen in High Gloss cream or maybe white, it depends if the cream is the same as the one in MFI which is the Space range. Its more like off-white in MFI and not as yellowy white as some creams.

I've made a list of Bosch Appliances which I like and noted down an average internet price so I can compare them with Howdens prices. I don't mind paying the RRP as long as the rest of the quote is ok and they do a good job.

I have a MFI price list so I will price it up myself with their current Sale prices and do a comparison.

That is expensive for diplomat as they are crap.
I have them in my kitchen which came with the house and fridge freezer broken already(3 and half years old)Hob very poor quality
Buy some other make if possible.
They are made in Italy I believe

    Hi,

I just wanted to find out if you managed to get a quote for this kitchen from Howdens, I'm interested in buying the MFI space white, but have been quoted £7400 for cabinets and worktop only and finding this quite expensive,i just wanted to find out how much cheaper Howdens is to MFI?

    Many Thanks:confused:

    Hi Hype,

The Designer didn't turn up so I can only presume that Builder didn't book him. Haven't contacted Builder yet as I've been busy but I'll let you know when I get quote.
