Negotiate your BT Broadband

I've always had broadband through BT and never had any real problems. However, I've just had my latest BT quarterly statement and noticed that I'm now paying £21-50 per month for my broadband. This is for option 2 with a 40GB limit and built in Home Protection. The last time I checked I was paying about £15. Anyway, as Sky are offering unlimited BB for £10, I decided to ring BT to justify their prices. The guy on the phone immediately offered me a new BB price of £10-25 for the same package on a 12 month contract. I apparentely could have got this reduction a lot earlier if I'd phoned them sooner.

If you're in a similiar situation then please get yourself a reduction and call them. I hate the way that existing and loyal customers are the ones that get ripped off. I guess we're funding the deals offered to new customers. Sounds like Sky TV!

  • It would probably work out cheaper for you to leave bt and join another isp with cashback etc.

As they say loyalty counts for nothing these days
