This may be true of certain markets that are prevelant on EBay, especially where buyers are spoiled for choice, but as a blanket statement it is absolute, complete and utter garbage. From my own experience when I don't offer paypal I either sell at a low price or else I get buyers asking me whether I would be prepared to accept paypal as they won't bid without it.

The only things I have succesfully sold without paypal were sci fi mags. They went for pennies and most were posted to halls of residence and the buyers tended to pay by postal order.
