Aarrgghh! Bloody Scam Bidders!!!!!

VH
Currently trying to sell a mobile phone on EBay.
Noticed today that the high bidder was a new account with zero feedback. Checked them out and they are bidding on 174 other mobiles. So I cancelled the bids and blocked them. Bloody idiot.
That was three hours ago.
Now another high bidder has just appeared. Same thing again!! New account today, bidding on everything from laptops to mobile phones, over 32 high value items in total.
So now I have to go and cancel all bids and block them as well!
Don't these d**kheads have anything better to do with their time?

Happened to me twice just recently, with a mobile. You get the final value fee back, but not the listing fees etc. Ar$eholes! I then restricted the sale to bidders with PayPal accounts only and had a winning buyer, using B-I-N within 24 hours.
I guess you know you can block bids from zero (or any number) rated bidders in the buyer preferences? Good luck!0 -

Yes, its a shame you can't block bidders with sub 10+ feedback.0

You're right..was looking at a different box. ta.0

I agree some of the buyers are just scammers. But you have to give the honest ones a chance??0

Auction doesn't finish tomorrow so I have put a note on the bottom advising all zero feedback bidders to contact me before bidding. Otherwise I'll remove their bids.
I really hope it doesn't get won by scammers, I can't be bothered relisting it!0 -

This is a big problem that I've been having recently.
I put the same warning on my listings and they don't read it, or what you will find is that they will wait till the last moment to bidand avoid being cancelled.
There are some auctions where you SHOULD be able to block zero bidders.
They should be made to complete at least 3 low cost deals before being allowed to bid for the expensive stuff. If only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!

I completely agree, EBay should allow you better blocking options. I have no problem with zero feedback bidders but they should have to go through some kind of contact process first in order to bid on your auction.0 -
yes they are rather annoying! have just send a scammer a 'nice' e-mail expressing my gratitude for wasting my time. PLus rather annoying you don't get the lising fee back also when you report them. So the scammers actually make profit for e-bay - perhaps that explains why they are reluctant to put restrictions on bidders?!
So is there no way of blocking bids from 0 rated ebayers? he majority are actaully ok but it's the minority ruining it.0 -
Just a thought on reading this.....
Are they scammers or is it still the school holidays and plenty of bored kids???0
