all tools are made by someone else even snap on tools are made by someone else

look here for the current sealy promos http://www.sealey.co.uk/PLPageBuilder.asp?id=23&method=mGetGuestHomePage

Many of Halfords Pro tools (flexible spanners for instance) are made by GearWrench who also make Drapers very same tools.

Halfords boast a lifetime guarantee (excluding moving parts) whereas Draper don't. Gearwrench offer a lifetime guarantee on all tools INCLUDING moving parts (the last time I looked) so it just goes to show they're mainly made by one company and resold under different brands who will still try to stiff you of your rights

engine crane gets in the way and some times a two man job one to move the crain an the other to wiggle the mount out of the way (you cant remove the mount with out lifting the engine) even the over the wings engine beam gets in the way, so the best way is a trolley jack followed by an axle stand and the 2 poster.

Depends on the car really, mind has an engine mount that is pretty easy to get out of the way with the crane hooked up. Removing the fuel supply and the other bits however.. :o

exactly its all about. draper is cheaper then halfords which is why they dont offer warranty.

they are very subtle differences in quality too in the ratchets, i have yet to feel the need to by flexy ratchet spanners

I was a bit confused when people were mentioning buying sealey, draper (and some other company) only and not go for cheap generic crap.

My impression of draper products is that they're cheap. I don't know what their jack are like, but I remember picking up a draper retractable craft knife, styled in the exact same way as a stanley knife. basically this

I have the same type of stanley knife at home, it feels heavy and decen't quality. The draper one I picked up at asda was so light, I thought it might be metal coated with plastic internal or something. I promptly put it back on the shelf and walked away.
