Haggling for broadband deals?

Has anyone had any luck haggling for ultrafast broadband? I’ve got my eye on the BT Infinity bundle with the basic TV package but for such a long-term commitment (18 month contract ) I’d really like to get the costs down a little. So far I haven’t been able to find any cashback offers, student discounts, vouchers - nothing except the standard introductory offers.

Sky’s ultrafast broadband would be an option too, but not Virgin.
