The fact that a seller has POP means just that, they have Proof Of Posting, which is not Proof Of Receipt. As for any claims, as is often pointed out here, that's best done by the seller, as the information requested is by the majority, the sellers.

i know but this bidder was a pain... paid late, had to be reminded to pay and so on, i asked at the post office and they said either party can claim, but you guys tell me different... oh dear. i must say im more inclined to beleive you guys the way the post office is at the mo..
i do state in my t&c on ebay i obtain POP and if they want insurance they must request & pay as i am not liable for items lost in the post. I have claimed once on my POP and recived the money back...
