Hi Curry queen, Don;t be put off ebay by the stories on here. We only post about problems so we can offer each other advice, we don't say about all the great transactions and users out there.
My main ID has well over a 1000 positive feedback, I haven't had an NPB for months and I don't recall ever getting any abuse. I've also never had a problem with paypal nor have I ever not received an item I've paid for.
For every bad user there's dozens and dozens of good ones.

Thanks soolin, and I know you're right when you think how many thousands of transactions take place everyday, and I too haven't yet encountered anything really bad ... well apart from a US trader about 6 months ago from whom I bought several items of clothing which took 3 months to arrive and I had to pay around £60 in customs charges  ... partly my own fault for not checking out the limits on values when sending overseas and I combined several auctions (hoping to save on postage) but would have been better off doing individual transactions in hindsight, but she never explained any of that to me and being a large international company you'd have thought they might help out their customers a bit
I guess I'm just feeling rather fragile at the moment, and stressed out to the max with other problems going on, that I'm worried that something going wrong like has been described in various threads here might just tip me over the edge
They always say never say never though so I might be better just holding off on trying to sell anything until I feel more able to cope with any setbacks that might occur
Thanks for the support though :A"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Hintza wrote:Following one of my non-paying bidders strikes and a final warning to contact me within 24 hours here follows a sequence of e-mails and actions this evening:-
Buyer:- i have a different name so it doesn't matter!! and im not having your bloody XXXXXXX !!!!! k!
I AM NOT GOING TO BUY YOUR XXXXXXX! NOW GO AWAY AND LEAVE ME ALONE!
I then check their feedback in the last week they have had 4 NPB strikes.
Why are they still registered? Thats another question? Anyway so I send this:
Me:- I see you are a person of no honour!!
Why bid if you don't want to pay!!!
Just remember what goes around comes around and when it does to you remember I am laughing at you!!
Buyer:- i dont fink so cos i dont sell on that name!!!!!
This got me thinking; I wonder what their selling ID is? Hmmm...I wonder if they shill bid? quick search and sure enough they do both addresses in Dorset good enough for me.
Me:- selling ID (sent to buyer)
Me:- Say goodbye to EBay!!!
Buyer:- nope!!!I then followed this up by completing the shill bidder form on ebay and sending that in. With a copy to my buyer.
Buyer:- yer p**s in ur muvas mouth!!
Game set and match to me I hope!!!;)

Somebody who has more than one ID (or uses a related ID) to bid on their own items to increase the price

you have his email & post address - sign him up for some junk mail etc lol0

The downside of this of course is that it takes 3 minutes to register a new ID, then go on an auction spoiling spree... or... create a new ID using your name and address, nibble away at all your auctions then report the ID for shill bidding.

Fingers crossed the !!!! hasn't the brains.

As usual got the standard reply from EBay:-
"eBay is always very concerned about breaches of its policies and have thoroughly investigated your report. In accordance with our policies, however, I have found that there is not enough evidence to show that a violation has taken place. We can reopen the investigation if any additional information can be provided."
Can I now be bothered to chase this up and dig around and find the evidence that EBay can not be bothered to look for!!!
