I never start my Christmas pressie shopping 'til November. I find that youngsters change their minds too much about what they want as pressies and what's "in" earlier in the year might be "old hat" by Christmas. Grown-ups also might want certain things and then either buy them or be given them by the Christmas season.
Personally, I find it false economy to shop too early and have learnt from past mistakes when I've had to return items to shops or been left wondering what to do with stuff that I know friends/family just don't want anymore.
This also means of course that I don't have to think about it 'til much nearer the time!
It's different for cards, decorations and the like though, which can be picked up in the January sales so cheaply.Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0 -
good idea glad
another one is
get your christmas card list and your cards
write a couple out and stick a stamp on them put them to the bottom of the pile cross them off the list
then next week same again
that way theyre all done for posting and you havent had to sit for hours writing them out in a onner
which is extremely tedious
you also dont feel the postage as much if you just buy 2,3 or 4 stams a week
when its nearer the time I will show you all a fab way to display your cards,
throw away the string on the wall that keeps collapsing. throw away the card stands that fall over.
throw away the green string with the useless pegs
;D ;D ;D0 -

I was in Boots this morning and the shelves are full of them.
They obviously sold so many earlier in the year that they think they're gonna be a hot item for Christmas. ;D
Little do they know, almost everyone has at least a pair and given the excess to charity shop/jumble sale ::)0
