I thought it would be interesting to see what other people have in terms of what credit cards they have with current deals including balance owed, limit and what you pay off per month?

Mine is - Nationwide
£3200 limit
£1500 balance - 0% for 6 months (bought a new super PC)
£250 paid p/m via DD

Capital One
£4900 limit
£0 balance

Well up until 4 weeks ago by Cap1 limit was at £12k and I reduced it = sensible:money:
Plus shut down a MBNA card of £20k limit. So is that big enough for you?

Genuinely curious why you would want to know, and why anyone (including yourself) would want to announce all that info to the world/strangers on a forum?

I mean I understand when people share a SOA looking to cut spending or ask for advice on better deals on the financial products they already have, but otherwise???
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

Good question but to me a silly one. First off personal information isn't being shared. Just numbers and thats it.

If I was asking for personal information fair enough but its all anonymous on here and a lot of people I have seen have announced all this info in many separate threads - would be good to consolidate into this thread to see if they are on the best deal etc and to see if credit card companies are still holding back on their lending compared to 4 years ago.

    Think about it.

Just like people announcing their balances and all other info in their signatures? Whats the difference lady?

Quite frankly that's very odd too. I mean why ? Would you walk up to a stranger in the street and announce that ?

We are in a forum all about finances not a dodgy street in Blackburn.

Are we playing Top Trumps? Cool!

Ha! my Aqua Platinum Plus Black World Elite CC has a limit of £20,100. So I win your MBNA card.

    My turn........hmmm.........

My Experian credit score is 999.01

I do not see this as strange at all, few very similar threads used to be here couple years back, it really is all about seeing whether banks really are that harsh on lending or whether it's just a news story.

There is also thread on Jobs board about what do you do and how much you earn, and where in the country. Very good as National earnings survey data.

At that time we discovered that people with very good long history were still able to get credit cards not a problem, but limits were being slashed.. however it was about unutilised limits - banks were withdrawing large limits on cards that were not being used, to be able to lend it elsewhere and perhaps make some money on it.

I have not been turned down for a card yet, and I have 6 of them, combined limits reaching my annual earnings. However only 1 with balance, at 0%, which was used as a loan for home improvements (small ones).

Cannot play Top trumps on limits though, I do not keep high limits on any of the cards, as I am believer that you have better chance of new credit card without massive combined limits over exceeding your earnings (case of banks looking at what damage could you do with your cards if you went wild and maxed them all, in situations like losing your job or going to Vegas).

:rotfl: Mines bigger than yours attitude, that's a great indication of where you're coming from with this thread :rotfl:

Should have stoozed the £20K and made yourself £250-£300. Probably not big enough numbers for you though :D

£4,900 is a very curious number to decide to reduce a limit to. Why not a round number?
