Virgin BB is Driving Me Potty!!

We've been with Virgin for nearly 3 years. We moved house in April, which was 8 months into an existing contract. We were told we'd have to take out a new, 12 month contract. Whatever. We dealt with it.
Thing is, since we moved, the BB is crap! We have to get the router replaced within a month, as we had to reboot it every 10-15 minutes as it kept going down.
It was fine for a few weeks, and it's starting to happen again. We have difficulty in getting the iphones to connect, and the connection on the laptop is usually really slow!
Any ideas? My 3G is faster than the laptop at the moment!!

I have no idea?!!0 -
Are you a cable customer, (with phone, TV an BB) or on the make-do service where a BTline is used for phone and ADSL BB.0

Ah right. I have the whole shabang, and a Virgin phone line.0

When you say the 'it keeps going down' are you referring to the wireless network?..if you are,can you connect using ethernet connection OK?..And are you using the home hub?0

Im afraid its a common problem if you are using the Super Hub, have a read of the following thread on the Virgin Media Help & Support Forum.

the problem isn't just with the wireless, I have the same problem with my own wireless router plugged into the modem when its set in modem only mode.
I'm waiting the R36 beta, but no guarantees thats going to work either.
Its all to do with when devices connect up to the wireless in sequence. My issue is only occurring when a Blackberry or a Toshiba laptop connects, three other laptops, two iphones and one desktop all work fine, its only these two devices causing my issues.
I'm starting to get pretty irritated by the problems now, one minute I get 42mb/sec on wifi, the next I get 0.05mb/sec0 -
I don't have the super hub, I think the wireless thing is a d link?! It's not sways working with the Ethernet cable either. We never a problem in our last house and we had exactly the same devices connected to it.0

I'd ring Virgin tech support - it may be a problem with your cable, signal strength (through the cable) or a bad connection somewhere. You won't know until you get it looked at.0

If by that you mean that you have a TV service, then you are on VM cable still, not ADSL.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
