Is it possible to divert Vodafone mobile to Skype please?

I've been trying to use the Vodafone web site to divert my mobile calls to my Skype number.

The web site comes up with an error message to say that the number is not a UK number.

The number is

020 7193 ****

(where **** is the last part of my number)

I've tried variations like

+44207193****

with no luck.

Does anyone know if this is possible, please?

I need to do this as there is no Vodafone signal here. Broadband is also extremely slow, which is why I'm struggling to use the Vodafone site and have come here. This site is much faster to load.

Skype is a bit iffy here to of course. But it does work.

Dial *21*YOURSKYPENUMBER# on the mobile and press call, then dial *002*YOURSKYPENUMBER# and call again.

To cancel the divert, call ##21# then ##002#.

I will try that next time I find a signal.

But it would be really good if I could do it via the web site. Does anyone know why the website rejects the number, please?

Probably security - setting up call diverts can have unintended issues especially if the person accessing the web isn't the phone user. As Skype In numbers appear to the network as normal geo numbers - the only thing you need to remember is that the diverts will not be free, and you probably will have to pay your standard network rate for the diversion.

Vodafone websites have always been dodgy....had issues with VUK & Voda AU & Voda NZ, thats what happens when you outsource everything but your Retail operations.
