In other words, you have no defence. Have you thought about admitting you were in the wrong and apologising?
That is going to be what i will do.
I get the impression denla thinks i should walk in there with a swagger & shout "yeah i did it, and what"
but i will be telling them i know i am in the wrong & i will be apologising profusely.
In amongst all that, they will want to know WHY, why i did it. I will explain to them the real reason (not whatever reason denla has in their head) - which is AT THE TIME i thought it ok, because that sort of thing had gone on for as long as i can remember across departments, so i thought it was ok.
This however has opened my eyes & i've been naive - it's NOT ok. Just because 2 people have no issue with it doesn't make it ok & for this i apologise. I can assure them it wont happen again - i realise there is a ZERO tolerance.
That will be basically all i have to say. There's little else i can say.
I have tried to 2nd guess their questions, but beyond:
* did you not learn
* why did you do it
* what did you mean with your comment
I can't think of anything else they may ask.0 -
Here's one before i hit the sack...
Hmm, not a play on words. Anyway, if they decide on giving me the boot, how do these things generally go?
Over the years, the company hasn't been known to sack many people. They've always given people a lot of chances, although recently this seems to be changing & warnings are coming more frequently, not just to myself but others. Still, the number of sackings i know of can be counted on 1 hand & i never spoke to anyone after they were sacked, hence this question.
Do they generally say, right finish your job for the day (so if you're 9-5 & your meeting is at 12 & you get told this - they want you to work until 5 & then that's it for you)
or
do they generally say at the end of the meeting, that's it, good bye, get your stuff, you're gone immediately?
How do these things tend to go?0
