    Managed to get hold of the seller,she seemed nice but im not being fooled,she claims she refunded what ebay asked her to when i opened the case and why didnt i state it in the case which i did and i said the amount was put down when i opened the case,she was fully aware of what she owed me before the item was even returned.she claimed that she is fairly new to ebay and doesnt know how to do it,so ive told her i will send her the info and she claims she isnt ignoring me,id say thats a lie,if she wasnt sure then why not say! all rubbish if u ask me,so lets see if i get my refund now

    I don't want to come across rude but is this really worth the hassle and stress over a fiver?

    Ebay would only tell them to refund the original bid price and p&p - a good seller would refund you the return postage cos its the right thing to do and to avoid a neg but you're not going to be able to make them. I think anyone who buys on ebay should be prepared for the fact that once in a while somethings going to need to be returned or written off if not worth returning and that they're going to be a few quid down - that's just the price of buying on ebay! I really would just neg them, shake it off and move on...
