    Dear Forum Members

Your posts have just been brought to our attention at Glyndebourne concerning receipt of Glyndebourne programmes. These have all been sent to competition winners so if you have't received one or believe you should have, please do email me at Rachel.Piggott@glyndebourne.com We look forward to hearing from you and apologise if you haven't received anything and should have. Most sincerely Rachel Piggott, Marketing Manager

E-mailed Rachel yesterday & my programme arrived this morning complete with CD of Carmen as an apology for the delay. Most impressed!! :j

  • Dear all members of the forum

Thanks for the many emails that I've received from you over the last ten days regarding your prizes. I can only apologise that unfortunately it seems that the Guardian automatic system for choosing winners selected many more than the original number so we are getting through honouring these. Hopefully by now I have answered all of your emails and you have received your prize. If not, please don't hesitate to get in touch and once again, on behalf of Glyndebourne, I would like to apologise for this unfortunate error.

Very best wishes to you all, Rachel Piggott, Marketing Manager, Glyndebourne.

Well, I've emailed Rachel a couple times using email address above and haven't received any acknowledgement at all, likewise with Anthony George at the Guardian (comp promoter). Got in touch with Glyndebourne Cust. Servs. on their online chat thing and they suggest emailing Rachel directly. Fat lot of good that is when I'm being ignored in the first place.
Golly, I've got the newt pregnant...

I'm also being ignored. To be honest I was really looking forward to receiving this, but have lost all interest now. A quick reply to one my emails would have meant so much. Such a shame as it gives a bad impression. Their tour will be coming to my local theatre next week and I was going to buy tickets, but I've been totally put off.
Thank you so much to everyone who post & help with comps! :j

Just to update... the ASA emailed me and have said the Guardian was very sorry for the hassle, apparently the person who sent WEM's out has left company but didn't send Glyndebourne an updated winners list before he went so they couldn't send any prizes out. Either way I'm getting a programme and possibly another programme sent recorded post in a couple days so ASA have closed case.

Might it be worth contacting Guardian direct if you were still looking to chase up prizes, ASA never gave a contact so I guess it's take a chance from this http://www.guardian.co.uk/help/contact-us
